Vortex Atlanta

The Vortex Atlanta is not a joint for kids—and remains unapologetically so. Everything from the setting to the menu is built for adults.

Yet in remains one of the best restaurants in Atlanta—garnering special attention for the fantastic and creative burgers they are known for.

Offering two different locations—one in Midtown, the other in Little 5 Points—this is not one to be missed. Whether you are a local, or are just visiting, you need to make sure the Vortex is on your itinerary. [Read more...]

Elevation Chop House And Sky Bar

Tucked away next to an executive airport in Kennesaw, you will find a little gem of a place to eat.

The Elevation Chop House and Sky Bar is a double level venue that offers a very good menu, and an environment that is pretty unique. There are not too many restaraunts in Atlanta or the surrounding area where you can watch airplanes landing during your meal.

That is exactly what you will get at Elevation. [Read more...]

Cheeky Taqueria

Situated at the Avenue off of GA 400 (Exit 13), Cheeky Taqueria is a very unique little dining experience north of Atlanta.

Besides serving good food, and having a fun and pleasant environment, Cheeky is also a restaurant on the cutting edge of technology—and that technology is used to make the dining experience even better. [Read more...]

Bistro VG

Sitting in Roswell, in quite an unassuming parking lot, is a little gem of Metro Area dining. Bistro VG boasts an excellent menu of European and French style cuisine, but with enough of a familiar feel to apply to just about everyone.

Little restaurants like this one prove you don’t have to be in the heart of the city to find great food—you just have to know where to look. Ironically, if you weren’t looking for it, you would probably drive right past it (that’s why we provide maps on this site!). [Read more...]

Bone’s Restaurant

Bone’s Restaurant, located in Buckhead, is one of the premier steakhouses in Atlanta. Boasting excellent lunch, dinner, and dessert menus, as well as an ever changing (and growing) wine list, this is a restaurant built for your special night out. Bone’s has been loaded with so many awards and ratings, it almost seems unnecessary to provide one here. After all, with their Zagat rating, what else could really be said?

While it is true that much has already been written, Bone’s Restaurant is a special place and a crown jewel of Atlanta culinary. And hey, if you’ve never been, maybe this will be the review that gets you in the door (especially when you read my story about their service!). [Read more...]

The Steamhouse Lounge

The Steamhouse Lounge is one of those local hangouts that you have to visit in Atlanta. It used to bear the moniker “The best little dump in Buckhead,” but, since it is no longer located there, it is now “The best little dump in Midtown.”

Understand that when we are rating the Steamhouse, we are not rating an upscale, tie-and-jacket location. This is a come as you are, flip flops and shorts place that serves beer in a can (yes, seriously! You can order a PBR Tallboy!). Nonetheless, it’s a great place to hang out with friends and enjoy a lazy weekend day out on the patio. I can think of no better place for hanging out in the summer than The Steamhouse! [Read more...]
